A crate is a timed box of rewards, often car parts or restoration components. When a race pays a crate, it goes into one of your four crate slots. If every slot is full, you cannot earn another crate that needs a slot until you open one.
How to open a crate
- Tap a crate in a slot to start its countdown.
- Wait until the countdown changes to Done.
- Tap the crate again to collect its items and free the slot.
Only one crate can count down at a time. The others wait until that one is Done and collected, or until you skip its timer.
You can tap a crate during its countdown to spend Gold and open it early. Gold is the premium currency, not Cash. If a race would pay a crate and your slots are full, open one first. See How to Get More from Epic and Legendary Events.
