Lag is when the race does not keep up with your taps: the launch feels late, shifts hitch, or the game pauses for a moment. Try these steps in order.
Troubleshooting
- Lower graphics. On the title screen (the screen with Play), tap the gear in the upper left, tap Settings, then set Graphics Quality or Quality to Low. You can also try turning off Vibration.
- Turn off Low Power Mode or Battery Saver in the Battery section of your phone's settings. Those modes slow the game down.
- Fully close other apps you do not need.
- Check the App Store or Google Play for a game update.
- Fully close the game, restart your phone, and reopen the game.
If it is still lagging, go back to the gear, tap Settings, open Support, and tap Help. Include your phone model, operating system version, Quality setting, and whether it happens on the launch, on shifts, or all the time.
